Exile in Rua da Trás
At 27, I found myself “exiled” in Porto. I stayed in a tiny studio, with seagulls as my soundtrack and that post-lockdown vibe. It was a time of making peace, healing a breakup, tasting freedom, and falling in love with solitude.
I wandered city streets chasing sunsets, discovering hidden corners, talking to strangers, and immersed myself in analog photography, having brought only brought my film camera. Porto taught me to trust and to meet all the women living inside me.
